A. Paulo Coimbra recebeu o grau de Licenciatura (1985) e Doutoramento (1996) em Engenharia Electrotécnica pela Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal. Desde 1996 é Professor Auxiliar no Departamento de Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores da Universidade de Coimbra e investigador no ISR — Instituto de Sistemas e Robótica.
